We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our dynamic children’s health care team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality medical care to children of all ages, ensuring their comfort and safety while undergoing treatment. You will work closely with paediatricians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of young patients and their families.

  • Provide support and education to patients’ families, offering guidance on home care, medication administration, and lifestyle adjustments to manage health conditions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care, including participating in case reviews and planning meetings.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all care provided, observations, and relevant patient interactions.
  • Adhere to all agency / hospital policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols and confidentiality requirements.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with Paediatric nursing practices and standards.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BScN) preferred, with a focus on Paediatric nursing or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Paediatric nursing or a related healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children and their families.
  • Strong clinical skills, including in assessment, medication administration, and emergency response.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Empathy and a caring disposition towards children.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and emotionally demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of current Paediatric health care practices and technologies.
  • The role may involve shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • The position may require physical activities such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting.
